North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said that his country should be ready for both dialogue and confrontation with the United States. He said this at a meeting of the three-day plenary session of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the Central Telegraph Agency reported on Friday, June 18.
The politician noted that in order to protect the “dignity and interests” of the DPRK, as well as “a reliable guarantee of a peaceful situation and the country’s security”, in particular, one should be ready for confrontation with the United States.
He also called for strengthening “stable control” of the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
