Threat to Russia is one of the biggest challenges for Central and Eastern Europe – Duda

Polish President Andrzej Duda praised the NATO summit on 14 June. He stressed that Alyan members discussed security issues on the eastern flank and threats, in particular from Russia.

The President reacted favorably to the fact that the threat to Russia was discussed at the summit. Duda considers her to be one of the biggest challenges for Central and Eastern Europe.

“This was voiced in the overwhelming majority of statements, including the statements of US President Joe Biden, that, unfortunately, there is still an absolutely current threat from Russia in the form of its various aggressive behavior, in the form of its aggression in Ukraine. This is one of the biggest challenges in the geopolitical space”, – the politician said.

Duda noted that during a conversation with Biden, the American president assured that the security of Central and Eastern Europe, including the security of Poland, is very close to him. According to Duda, Biden personally worked to ensure that Poland became a NATO member.

The Polish leader is awaiting information from the United States after Biden’s conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
