Germany recalls soldiers from Lithuania for anti-Semitism and harassment

Four Bundeswehr soldiers will be recalled early from Lithuania to Germany for indecent behaviour during a party

The German soldiers were serving in the NATO military contingent Enhanced Forward. At the end of April, the soldiers threw a party at a hotel in Rukla. After drinking too much alcohol, the party started singing anti-Semitic songs and almost got into a fight.

One of the soldiers also attempted to perform oral sex on a fellow soldier, who fell asleep from extreme intoxication. As a result, one of the party members reported the incident to his superiors. Several soldiers were recognised as victims. One was also sent to Germany after counselling with psychologists.
