Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, in an interview with the German newspaper Die Welt, has once again demanded that the country be included in the military bloc
“Membership was promised to Ukraine in 2008. Since then NATO has done nothing to implement this promise”, – Kuleba said.
According to the minister, Kiev is fully aware that the path to the North Atlantic Alliance may take a long time, but “it is time to start the process”. It is worth noting that the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Andriy Yermak, made a similar call in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica.
“We believe that our partners will reach a consensus on our NATO membership as soon as possible. Ukraine’s future depends on them. As our president said, we are in danger now and we need help”, – Yermak said.
As reported earlier by News Front, the leaders of the North Atlantic Alliance have no plans to discuss the provision of the Membership Action Plan to Ukraine.
