The Chinese Embassy in Britain commented on the information about the intentions of the leaders of the G7 countries to develop a unified approach to countering the influence of China.
“We believe that countries, large and small, strong and weak, rich and poor, are equal and global issues should be resolved through consultations involving all countries. The times when world decisions were made by a group of countries are long gone”, – the statement on the website of the Chinese embassy says.
The embassy also noted that multilateral relations should be based on the goals and principles of the UN Charter, the norms of international law, and not on the interests of a “small group or political bloc.”
Recall that the summit of the G7 countries is being held in Britain in Cornwall from 11 to 13 June. The G7 includes Great Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the USA.
