At least 13 civilians have been killed, many wounded, as a result of shelling by members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party in the Syrian city of Afrin and a local hospital
The Turkish Ministry of National Defence said on Saturday.
“Terrorists based in the Tel Rifat area shelled the centre of Afrin city and the Shifa hospital with artillery guns. Thirteen civilians were killed and many wounded in the attack”, – the defence ministry said in a Twitter post.
At least 27 people were injured in the attack, the Anatolia news agency specified.
