“Joe Biden is meeting with President Putin not in spite of disagreements, but out of them … The degree of confrontation that our relationship has reached is not in our interests, and we want to find a way forward” , – said Psaki.
She stressed that the United States wants a stable and predictable relationship with Russia.
Responding to criticism that Biden and Putin amid escalating accusations against Moscow from Washington, Psaki noted that a personal meeting of the heads of the two states is important.
“It will be possible to discuss all the problems, as well as topics that we can work together.”
Also, when asked by the host about the US response to the “cyber attacks from Russia,” Psaki added that Washington will not refuse to retaliate against Moscow.
