Electronic voting in early parliamentary elections starts in Armenia

The Central Election Commission of Armenia announced the start of electronic voting at 8:00 (7:00 Moscow time) at the early parliamentary elections.

“Electronic voting began on June 11 at 08:00 am Yerevan time and will end on June 13 at 20:00. The voting results will be announced on the day of the main voting on June 20, after 20:00”, – the CEC said.

Employees of diplomatic or consular missions of Armenia, family members living with them abroad and having the right to vote take part in electronic voting in early parliamentary elections. According to the CEC, 650 people will take part in the remote voting.

Recall that in November 2020, a political crisis took place in Armenia. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the heads of the parties represented in the parliament agreed to hold early elections. Extraordinary parliamentary elections in the republic will be held on June 20.
