Vaccination against coronavirus with Sputnik V does not give the right to enter Ukraine, since the vaccine is not included in the WHO list, the press service of the country’s state border service said on Thursday.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine stated that the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against COVID-19 would not be in the country.
“Over the past two days, at checkpoints across the state border of Ukraine, there have been cases when foreigners from abroad try to enter with documents on immunization with the Sputnik V vaccine. We emphasize that such a document does not give the right to enter Ukraine, since this vaccine is not included. to the WHO list”, – the message says.
The border service said that in order to enter Ukraine, foreigners, in addition to the compulsory insurance policy against COVID-19, must have a negative PCR test or express test, which was carried out no more than 72 hours before crossing the state border, or a document confirming receipt a complete course of vaccination against COVID-19 vaccines included in the WHO emergency list, issued in English or with a translation into English.
The Russian Sputnik V vaccine has already been approved in 67 countries with a total population of over 3.4 billion people. Sputnik V ranks second in the world in terms of the number of approvals received by government regulators. The effectiveness of the vaccine was 97.6% according to the analysis of data on 3.8 million vaccinated Russians, which is higher than the data previously published by the medical journal The Lancet (91.6%), the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and the Gamaleya Research Center reported earlier.
