The event will consist of one working session with a duration of only 2.5 hours.
As the NATO press service reported on Wednesday, the Alliance summit in Brussels on June 14, in which US President Joe Biden will take part for the first time, will be the shortest in almost 20 years and will consist of one working session lasting 2.5 hours.
“The working session of the summit should begin at 13:30 and last until 16:00”, – the press service quoted TASS as saying.
Thus, the leaders of the 30 countries of the alliance will have 150 minutes to discuss the new strategic concept of NATO for the next decade, less than five minutes per person, taking into account the opening and closing remarks of the Secretary General of the alliance, who chairs the summit. Usually NATO summits last two days and consist of three to four working sessions of several hours each.
