Head of Naftogaz goes to U.S. to negotiate sanctions for Nord Stream-2

The head of Naftogaz YuriVitrenko will try to persuade US senators to pass new legislative changes that will include sanctions against Nord Stream-2 AG, which Biden has abandoned.

Yuriy Vitrenko, the head of the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, together with the company’s delegation went to Washington for negotiations on sanctions against the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline.

Reportedly, the main goal of the NAC delegation is to convince the American senators, who are co-authors of the PEESA / PEESCA Europe Energy Security Support Act, of the need to submit new legislative changes that will require the application of US sanctions directly to Nord Stream 2 AG and company managers.

It is noted that Vitrenko’s first business meetings were scheduled for the evening of June 8.
