The Cabinet of Ministers approved the Foreign Policy Strategy of Ukraine. The document contains the basic principles of Ukrainian policy towards the European Union, NATO and the Russian Federation.
The corresponding decision was made at a government meeting.
he strategy says that the European Union is one of the main actors in world politics and a key partner of Ukraine in Europe. Therefore, full membership of Ukraine in the EU is a strategic goal of the state. In addition, joining NATO remains a strategic course. On the way to it, the Ukrainian side intends to use the alliance’s help to counter aggression from the Russian Federation.
The document also says that the main goal of Ukraine in the Russian direction in the medium term is to end the armed conflict and return the territories.
