Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Yenin had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State adviser Derek Scholl, during which he once again complained about the “threat” posed by Russia’s Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline
“The deputy minister drew his interlocutor’s attention to the serious security threats to Ukraine, Europe and the US posed by Russia’s geopolitical Nord Stream 2 project”, – the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry press service said.
Yenin called Nord Stream-2 “an instrument of Russia’s hybrid warfare with which the Kremlin seeks to undermine Europe’s energy security” and tried to convince Scholl that preventing the pipeline’s commissioning is “in the common interests of Kiev and Washington.”
As previously reported by News Front, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that the U.S. administration considers the completion of the Nord Stream-2 pipeline a fait accompli.
