More than half of Ukrainians have become poorer over the past two years

The Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) has studied how the financial situation of Ukrainians has changed over the past two years

“The majority of Ukrainians – 54.4% – believe that their family’s financial situation has deteriorated over the past two years”, –  the survey said.

It is also noted that more than 91% of Ukrainians over the past two years have faced rising utility rates and a significant increase in the price of basic foodstuffs.
In addition, according to the survey, more than 35% of Ukrainians have experienced a decrease in wages or pensions, and 31.9% have lost their jobs fully or partially.
