Turkish foreign minister says S-400 bought from Russia poses no threat to NATO

Turkish authorities don’t view the S-400 surface-to-air missile systems, purchased from Russia, as a threat to NATO and are planning to approach the subject from a realistic position. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said this

“The S-400 missiles pose no security risk to NATO. Turkey intends to approach the S-400 issue with realism and through constructive dialogue”, –  he wrote.

The minister added that Ankara had also provided evidence to NATO partners that it had not taken any hostile action against any allied ship, “contrary to what was said about the frigate Courbet”.
