The Minister of Health of Russia Mikhail Murashko said that the production of anticoid immunoglobulin based on the blood plasma of those who had been ill had begun in the Russian Federation, RIA Novosti reports.
“Production has started in Russia, we need to increase it now, and this will definitely require plasma. This is an anticoid immunoglobulin – this is already a highly concentrated drug that allows you to neutralize the virus, and it, of course, is of the highest priority in comparison with anticoid plasma”, – said Murashka at the site of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
Murashko noted that monotherapy with certain drugs really does not always give the full effect, therefore, experts select a combination of drugs. Currently, there are new data on the combination of blood plasma with antiviral drugs, the minister said.
