Lukashenko signed a decree on measures to ensure national security

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a resolution of the Security Council “On measures to ensure national security”, BelTA informs.

“The meeting discussed issues of enhancing the role of the Security Council as a collegial coordinating political body in protecting the independence, territorial integrity, sovereignty and constitutional order of Belarus, maintaining civil peace and harmony in the country, countering extremism and fighting terrorism”, – the agency reports.

The Belarusian government was instructed to prepare a draft amendment to the laws “On the State of Emergency” and “On Martial Law” in order to create additional conditions for the prevention and neutralization of risks, challenges and threats to national security.
