Eight security officials killed in Taliban attack in Afghanistan

At least eight members of the security forces were killed in an attack by militants of the radical Taliban in the Afghan province of Baghlan, Tolo News reported.

According to the TV channel, two chiefs of police in two districts of the province were among the dead.

It is noted that the attack took place on Friday evening, but the clashes between the security forces and the Taliban continued until Saturday morning.

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid confirmed the clashes on Twitter and in turn announced the killing of ten Afghans and eight wounded.
