In the Netherlands, the newspaper De Volkskrant published a map of Ukraine without Crimea

Political scientist Volodymyr Kornilov on his Facebook page published a photo from the Dutch magazine De Volkskrant, which shows a map of Ukraine without the Crimea peninsula.

“Another betrayal! In the most liberal newspaper in the Netherlands, De Volkskrant, the state border between Ukraine and Crimea is clearly visible on the map”, – wrote Kornilov.

The Crimean Peninsula became part of Russia as a result of a referendum held in 2014. Almost 97% of the inhabitants of the peninsula voted for the accession. The voting procedure fully complied with the requirements of international law. However, the Ukrainian authorities continue to consider Crimea as their territory, building numerous plans to “return” it.
