Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin reported about explosions and a fire at the Sloboda defense enterprise in the town of Cacak.
“The explosion, fortunately, took place at the finished goods warehouse, not at the enterprise itself. From 1:30 in the morning, I am in direct contact with the head of the Emergency Situations Sector and the Director of Police. 35 firefighters from the Emergency Situations Sector arrived at the scene, as well as 10 firefighters on duty Chachk. Most of all, we were afraid that someone had not been evacuated, fortunately, all employees of the enterprise were evacuated”, – said Vulin.
The warehouses are located 800 meters from the enterprise itself. Residents of nearby houses were evacuated or hid in the basements of houses, some of which had cracked glass. Vulin noted that firefighters will be able to enter the burnt warehouse only 24 hours after the last explosion.
