Vietnamese analysts are confident that thanks to the fortified positions of Russia in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, the attempts of NATO countries to conduct military operations there are nullified.
Thus, the “gates of death” that Russia has created can work at any moment as a death trap for the ships of the North Atlantic Alliance.
The Vietnamese newspaper Soha reports that the strengthening of Russia’s position occurred after the transfer of Tu-22M3 bombers to the base in Syrian Khmeimim. Three long-range aircraft arrived in Syria on 25 May.
The authors of the publication note the ability of the Tu-22M3 to deliver missile strikes against any ships. Analysts are also confident that NATO should be wary of a large grouping of the Russian Navy in the port of Tartus. It has well-armed submarines capable of silently approaching the enemy.
