The work has been suspended due to the tense situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, acting Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said
The trilateral commission of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan to unblock regional communications has suspended its work due to the tense situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Acting Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said this at a parliamentary briefing on Tuesday.
“As of today, the work of the commission does not continue, because an appropriate background is needed for effective and efficient work. When there is such a situation on the border, I don’t think constructive work is possible on this platform. Contacts have broken off at this platform, let’s see what happens next”, – he explained.
According to Grigoryan, “Yerevan will do its best to resolve the situation on the border by peaceful and diplomatic means.”
At a meeting in Moscow on 11 January, the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan decided to set up a working group at the level of the deputy prime ministers of the three countries to focus on the establishment of transport and economic links in Karabakh.
