Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu have agreed to gradually normalize relations between the two countries
The Greek foreign minister noted that Greece and Turkey have different positions on some extremely serious issues, but mutual cooperation and a negotiation process will gradually normalise the situation.
“Turkey is ready for dialogue without any preconditions to improve bilateral relations with Greece”, – the Turkish foreign minister said.
Çavuşoğlu also said that concrete steps have been taken to improve economic ties with Greece in 25 articles in various fields, from transport to energy, environment, tourism and trade.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis are scheduled to meet at the NATO summit in June as the next step to boost cooperation.
