The German Foreign Ministry has denied the Ukrainian president’s request for weapons, expressing doubts about the usefulness of such supplies
This statement was made by German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas in response to Zelensky’s interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper, in which he urged the Germans to provide weapons.
“Supplies of weapons to Ukraine will not help resolve the conflict in Donbass”, – the German Foreign Ministry responded.
According to Alexander Skubchenko, the British resident Zelensky is already hostile to Europe as well.
“For Zelensky, the Minsk agreements are not about peace in Ukraine, but about sanctions against Russia. The main thing is not peace, but sanctions. The format should be changed, we will not go to Minsk, “first the border”, and so on – this is just blocking the peace process,” – wrote the expert in Telegram.
We will remind, in an interview with Allgemeine Zeitung, Zelensky stated his desire to receive military equipment and hardware from the FRG: automatic rifles, audio equipment and more. Zelensky said that Ukraine has already received Hummer jeeps from the Americans, while Germany is a leading country in the production of armoured military vehicles.
