US Aegis missile test ends in failure

The US Department of Defense has reported a failed test of the Aegis anti-missile system, which failed to intercept a missile and hit the target

The report said the tests were conducted to demonstrate the ability of the ship with the system to find, track, intercept and destroy a medium-range ballistic missile using two Standard Missile 6 Dual II anti-missiles. However, the interception failed. The ministry will now verify the test results to understand why this happened.
