Nearly a ton of cocaine found on beach in Britain

Nearly a ton of cocaine worth more than $113 million was found on a beach in the county of East Sussex, Britain, by passers-by

The waterproof bags containing the substance, which had been dumped on the beach, were attached to life jackets. They were discovered by passers-by and reported to local police.

“The NCA launched an investigation after almost a tonne of the substance, believed to be cocaine, was found at two locations on the East Sussex coast. The agency said the samples taken tested positive for cocaine and a full forensic examination will be carried out at a later date”, – the National Crime Agency (NCA) said.

The NCA estimates that the 960kg of cocaine found on the beach is worth approximately £80 million ($113.3 million).
