New York federal prosecutors have seized evidence from emails allegedly belonging to Ukrainian ex-officials as part of an investigation against former US President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, Bloomberg reports
According to the newspaper, the e-mail accounts might have belonged to former Ukrainian Prosecutor-General Yuriy Lutsenko, former head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov and businessman Oleksandr Levin. The names of the Ukrainian ex-officials have been edited in such a way that the changes are visible when copying the text and viewing it in a text editor.
Reuters notes that Lutsenko said on Tuesday that “he has no news” and that he “has not communicated with Giuliani either by phone or mail”. Recall that prosecutors are currently investigating whether Giuliani violated lobbying laws when he acted as an unregistered foreign agent while working for Trump.
