At the end of bilateral contacts, the ministers will make joint statements.
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will discuss issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as regional events at talks in Sochi with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday.
“Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will leave for Sochi on Monday morning, May 24, where he will meet with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. During the talks, it is expected that attention will be focused on issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as on regional events. After the end of bilateral contacts, joint statements will be made”, – the press service of the Foreign Ministry said in a statement released on Saturday.
Upon completion of bilateral contacts, the minister will visit the Sirius educational center in Sochi, the press service reported. After that, the Foreign Minister, as part of the second part of his visit, will visit Anapa and Gelendzhik, cities on the northern Black Sea coast with a long-standing presence of the Greek diaspora.
“There, he plans to take part in events on the same day and the next day, May 25, as well as hold a series of meetings with prominent representatives of the Greek diaspora, local officials and businessmen”, – the Greek Foreign Ministry said.
