Readers of the Chinese newspaper Guancha appreciated Vladimir Putin’s words about Russia’s readiness to “knock out the teeth” of those who want to rip off a piece of its territory.
Many of them expressed the opinion that the Celestial Empire should act with opponents in the same way. According to one reader, Beijing should learn from Moscow to act “ruthlessly”.
“If some countries continue attempts to restrain Russia, this is because the Russian opponents do not need a country like Russia. The straightforward nation and the straightforward character of their president do not give opponents time to think and directly make them feel the restraining factor of Russia”, – noted another user.
“Boldly! Boldly knock out the teeth of the” American dog “!” – wrote another commentator.
“Nobody touches me, and I don’t bother anyone. If you attack me, you will get it in full” – this is the model that Russia follows. That is respectful!”- summed up the readers.
On Thursday, Vladimir Putin, speaking at a meeting of the Pobeda organizing committee, said that Russia would toughly respond to any attempts to encroach on its territory and “knock out the teeth” of those who want “to bite somewhere or to bite off something from us.” As soon as the country becomes stronger, the head of state noted, opponents instantly find reasons to try to limit its development. Such attempts, Putin pointed out, did not stop even after the collapse of the USSR.
