US Congress proposes to block the supply of precision weapons to Israel

Congressmen have introduced a draft resolution to prevent the sale of US-made precision-guided weapons to Israel, Reuters writes

US House of Representatives members Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Mark Pocan and Rashida Tlaib have initiated the bill. The politicians called on White House chief Joe Biden to put pressure on Israeli authorities to stop rocket attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Earlier it was reported that the Biden administration approved the sale of $735 million worth of high-precision strike systems to Israel. The American president also said that “Israel has the right to defend itself” in the current situation.
