Acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that more than 500 Azerbaijani soldiers remain in the border territories of the state
“The operational situation in the Syunik and Gegharkunik sections of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border has not changed. The situation remains tense in the sense that so far a sufficient number of Azerbaijani military, some 500-600 people, remain in various sections of Armenia’s borderline territory”, – Pashinyan stated.
He stressed that Yerevan is trying to prevent the situation from spiralling out of control and is doing everything necessary to avoid a military clash. Earlier Russia offered to mediate the demarcation of the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
