Crimean parliament vice-speaker Volodymyr Bobkov commented on the US authorities’ bill banning recognition of the peninsula of Crimea as Russian
Earlier it became known that the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee supported a bill which would prohibit the US federal authorities from recognizing Russian sovereignty over Crimea. The bill was called the “Crimean annexation non-recognition act”.
“It is striking that in today’s political and geopolitical realities, someone has the idea of regulating Russia’s position in the international arena with their national legislative initiatives. Russia will never have a law that would regulate issues related to the internal state structure of the United States, as Russia respects the sovereignty of other states”, – Bobkov said in a commentary to RIA Novosti.
In his opinion, the likelihood of its implementation is close to zero, and the document itself is “empty populism and is designed only for the Americans.
