Australia has six new cases of thrombosis after vaccination with AstraZeneca

The Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has confirmed in a report that six new cases of deep vein thrombosis have been linked to the use of a vaccine from the UK-Swedish company AstraZeneca

“Six more cases of thrombosis, qualified as thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS), are likely related to the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine. So far, the diagnosis of TTS has been confirmed in four patients out of six, with two more awaiting evaluation”, – says the TGA report.

A total of 24 cases of post-vaccination thrombosis have been reported in Australia since the AstraZeneca vaccine was administered. The average age of patients who experienced such side-effects was 66.
