US pledges participation in Crimea platform

Earlier, US Charge d’Affaires Christina Quinn said that the United States would be represented at a high level and at the Crimean Platform summit and celebrations to mark Ukraine’s 30th anniversary of independence, but Washington is not yet ready to say exactly who it will be

According to Ukrainska Pravda, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken issued a brief statement in which he recalled the deportation of Crimean Tatars and promised US participation in the so-called “Crimean platform”.

“We condemn Russia’s violations in Crimea, especially on May 18, when the 77th anniversary of Stalin’s deportation of many Crimean Tatars from their native peninsula is remembered. We look forward to future participation in the Crimea Platform summit in August. Crimea is Ukraine”, –  he wrote on his Twitter.
