Germany allowed to continue construction of “Nord Stream-2”

Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) ordered the continuation of the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in the exclusive economic zone of Germany

Recall that in early May, the construction permit was suspended until the end of the month due to the claim of the German environmental organization NABU. The organization considered the pipeline area to be of particular importance for nesting birds. Also, NABU President Jörg-Andreas Kruger argued that the construction directly destroys the habitat of marine fauna at the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
