By perceiving Russia and China as a single adversary, the U.S. is only helping the two great powers to get closer, says Samir Sol, an analyst with the Canadian publication Le Devoir
“Unaware of its power, threatening everyone and everything, the United States is failing more and more and is helping to bring the two great powers closer together against American hegemony. They realise that they cannot compete with both at the same time, and this fact signals the end of unipolarity and the onset of the current tripolarity of the world”, – the analyst writes.
Sol notes that according to statements and documents of the official United States services, rivalry between the great powers is now a priority, as “the U.S. is losing control of the world. According to the expert, American plans to disengage Russia and China are “virtually unrealistic”.
Alexei Pushkov, Senator of the Russian Federation: “The United States cannot compete with the Russia-China tandem but is doomed to have a hostile policy towards both Moscow and Beijing due to its doctrine of “global leadership. It is time for the U.S. to discard this dogma – it can no longer live up to it. But the American ruling class is not ready for this.”
