US representatives have held online consultations for Ukrainian special services and law-enforcement agencies to explain how to identify whether weapons of mass destruction (WMD) have been used during “homicide investigations”
“Recent events in Europe have highlighted the real threat of government-sanctioned attacks with weapons of mass destruction. These attacks demonstrated the need for an effective national response, particularly a strong and well-established link between technical experts, law enforcement agencies and national security stakeholders”, – the US Department of State said in a statement on its website.
As part of the consultations, United States experts provided local officials with information to identify medical symptoms indicative of the use of weapons of mass destruction and familiarised them with specific measures to safely and reliably detect and respond to their use.
