Russia intends to postpone bans on US embassy

The U.S. Embassy in Moscow said it received notification from the Russian authorities of plans to temporarily suspend the ban on hiring local workers at the diplomatic mission

“Russian authorities have notified the U.S. Embassy in Moscow of their intention to postpone the ban on the U.S. Embassy’s hiring of foreign workers. As a consequence, until July 16 the US Embassy in Moscow will temporarily resume normal services for US citizens, including passport-related services, consular certificates of foreign birth and a limited range of notary services”, –  reads a statement on the website of the US Embassy in Moscow.

The US embassy also reminded US citizens with expired visas to leave the country by June 15, the deadline set by the Russian authorities in connection with the pandemic.
