The Israeli air force, backed by ground units that did not enter the Gaza Strip, carried out the largest attack on radical targets in Gaza since the start of the conflict
“Overnight, 160 aircraft simultaneously attacked 150 targets within 40 minutes. It was the largest action since the start of the conflict and involved ground units, which also worked on designated targets. No Israeli soldiers entered the Gaza Strip last night. The target of the attack was a network of tunnels used by radicals for transportation and as a shelter, under Gaza City”, – IDF spokesman Jonathan Conricus said.
He also said that Palestinian radicals from the Gaza Strip have fired more than 1,800 rockets into Israel since May 10, 430 of which landed in the enclave itself without even flying over the border. Seven civilians and one soldier were killed in Israel as a result of the radical attacks.
