As TASS reports with reference to the official data of the press service of the President of Tatarstan, on May 11, there was a shooting at school No. 175 in Kazan. According to the latest information, there were two attackers, one of them was detained, the other was eliminated. Sources in the law enforcement agencies of the republic said that the investigation will appoint the detainee a psychological and psychiatric examination. The motives of the attackers have not yet been reported.
An agency source in the city’s emergency services reported that at the moment we are talking about 11 victims, nine of whom are children. Eyewitnesses from the scene report that an alarm was triggered by the sound of an explosion at vehicles within a radius of 300 meters.
In addition, as the press service of the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan told reporters, 21 people were taken to hospitals after an emergency at a school in Kazan.
“18 children have been delivered to the DRKB, six of them are in intensive care, one woman is in the RCH, and two are at the City Clinical Hospital #7. Tatarstan clinics are provided with everything necessary, including supplies of donor blood”, – the Ministry of Health said.
May 12 has been declared a day of mourning in the republic.
