Second batch of Russian Sputnik V vaccine delivered to Kyrgyzstan

On Monday, May 10, the second batch of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in the amount of 20 thousand doses was delivered to Kyrgyzstan, TASS reports.

“Today the second batch of Sputnik V was delivered in the amount of 20 thousand doses”, – said a representative of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan.

Earlier it was reported that in April 20 thousand doses of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine were also brought from the Russian Federation. In total, Kyrgyzstan expects to receive from the Russian Federation 500 thousand doses of the Russian vaccine.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Kyrgyzstan, about 98 thousand cases of coronavirus have been identified, more than 1.6 people have died from the effects of the infection. Currently, the state of emergency declared in March 2020 continues to operate in the country.
