Brussels has begun developing another package of anti-Belarusian sanctions.
Such a statement on Monday, May 10, was made by the head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell, speaking after a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
“We are considering a future package of sanctions, which I hope will be approved in the coming weeks. This will be a new package of sanctions that will take into account everything that happened in the country, including how the regime is attacking the Polish community”, – the diplomat said.
He also accused the official Minsk of “intimidating” the putschists who, with the approval of the Western elites, are trying to overthrow Alexander Lukashenko.
As News Front reported, since last year, the pro-Western opposition in Belarus has been trying to implement a revolutionary scenario in the country. The putschists enjoy the support of Western countries. The coup is directly supervised by Poland and Lithuania.
The reason for this adventure was the presidential elections. Alexander Lukashenko won them, however, both the European Union and the United States refused to recognize the results of the vote. They claim that housewife Svetlana Tikhanovskaya became the winner.
