British prince collected money from businesses and promised Putin’s loyalty

For just $14,000 a day, the Queen’s cousin promised entrepreneurs to lobby their interests in the Kremlin

According to The Sunday Times, the journalistic investigation was conducted jointly with the British TV channel Channel 4.

The authors contacted Michael of Kent, a cousin of Elizabeth II, and introduced themselves as businessmen from South Korea.

The prince promised them a trip to Moscow and to lobby the Kremlin. Michael asked for £10,000, or $14,000 a day, for this.

The prince himself denies the journalists’ accusations, and his representatives stressed that Michael did not have any “special relationship” with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

It is worth noting that Putin last met with the prince in the summer of 2003.
