Rioting that escalated into clashes with Israeli police erupted Friday night on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, injuring three police officers, the Israeli police press office said
“Many police and border police forces are working to restore order following the unrest that began today on the Temple Mount, during which hundreds of worshippers began roughly disturbing order, attacking police officers by throwing stones and objects at them, resulting in three police officers being injured”, – the agency said in a press release.
The police are reportedly under the direction of Jerusalem District Commander Superintendent Doron Turjeman at the scene. By this minute, Israeli policemen reported that they had managed to gain control of the situation.
