The head of the Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs commented on Andrei Babiš’ calls to his EU colleagues.
According to Duma member and chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Leonid Slutsky, official Prague is attempting to set Europe as a whole against Russia.
“A demarche on an empty space as a sign of solidarity with yet another ‘highly likely’ show would be another step towards winding down the dialogue with Moscow”, – the parliamentarian warned on his Twitter, expressing hope that Brussels is aware of this.
As Front reported earlier Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš appealed to his EU partners during the informal meeting with the urgent suggestion to expel “at least one” Russian diplomat from their countries. According to Babiš, such a demarche would be a demonstration of support for the Czech Republic from its allies, as well as solidarity with the accusations that Prague brought against Moscow in connection with the Vrbetica incident in 2014.
