Russian peacekeepers help deliver humanitarian aid to Nagorno-Karabakh

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh assisted Azerbaijan in delivering more than 330 tons of humanitarian aid to the Kelbajar region.

“To restore energy and water supply systems, social facilities and residential buildings, the 16th Russian convoy of the humanitarian response center, consisting of 15 military KamAZ vehicles and escort vehicles, proceeded along the Madagiz – Kelbajar route and ensured the delivery of more than 330 tons of cargo to the Kelbajar region”, – reported in the Ministry of Defense.

The hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh resumed on 20 September. They became a continuation of a long-term conflict and resulted in civilian casualties. On the night of November 10, with the assistance of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the leadership of Azerbaijan and Armenia concluded a trilateral agreement on a complete cessation of hostilities. After signing the document, the Russian Federation sent its peacekeeping mission to Karabakh.
