The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) reported that more than 20 million people worldwide received the first dose of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine as of May 5.
“As of May 5, 2021, more than 20 million people have been injected with the first component of the Sputnik V vaccine worldwide. At the same time, there were no cases of sinus thrombosis of the dura mater (Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis, CVST)”, – the RDIF reported.
The Foundation also noted that the production of the Russian vaccine meets the strictest standards with a thorough procedure with four stages of purification: two chromatographic stages and two stages of tangential filtration.
Earlier it became known about the registration of a single-component vaccine against coronavirus “Sputnik Light”. The drug is effective against all new strains of coronavirus infection.
