Because the superintendent of the Oxford Missionary Research Center slept, the polling station located here could not begin work on time.
In the elections in the United Kingdom, which the expert community has already proclaimed fateful, violations are recorded. For example, in Oxford, voters had to vote on the street, as the watchman slept and did not open the precinct door on time. Instead of ballot boxes, they began to use the trunk of a car. Thus, about ten people managed to vote.
Laura Locke, deputy executive director of the Association of Election Administrators, admitted that such violations are the norm in the UK elections.
“All polling station staff are trained on how to set up temporary polling stations for such cases. Unfortunately, we do find that the owners of the keys overslept, so at every election we see several polling stations in their cars”, – she said.
Locke began to clarify that such cases, especially systematic ones, can affect the voting results, since the incident can be used to stuff ballots.
