Participants of the May Day march in Berlin threw bottles at police officers
Law enforcement officers stopped the procession as the participants did not comply with the rules – they were without masks and did not respect the distance.
After about half an hour, someone lit a smoke bomb in the crowd and bottles were thrown at the police. The radicals then piled up wooden pallets and set them on fire.
Up to 8,000 people are taking part in the action. More than 5,000 law enforcers are providing security.
