Around 240 participants of the May Day demonstration that turned into a riot in the evening were detained in Berlin on Saturday

Earlier reports said a May Day demonstration in Berlin ended in riots. Police officers stopped the march as protesters were not wearing masks and did not keep a proper distance.
Half an hour later, radicals piled wooden pallets into a pile and set them on fire, rubbish bins were also piled into the fire. Law enforcement officers were pelted with bottles for ten minutes. About 30 police officers were reportedly injured.
According to the RBB TV channel, German police detained about 240 rioters who took part in the rioting.
